Did you hear? Netflix just put an $82.7 Billion offer on the table to buy Warner Bros Studios.

Not finalized yet.

But here’s what’s wild:

Warner Bros’ board wants to be bought by Netflix.

(How do I know? Insider knowledge.

I just finished WB’s billionaire chairman John Malone autobiography and he said how much he admires Netflix and wishes he could partner with them.)

Now, Disney could buy them.

Amazon could buy them.

Apple could buy them.

But Warner Bros’ board looked at everyone in the streaming wars and said:

“Netflix is the dominant player. They’re going to continue to win. We want to be part of that.”

Let that sink in.

Warner Bros—the studio behind Harry Potter, Batman, Superman, Friends, Game of Thrones, and HBO—chose Netflix.

Not because Netflix offered the most money.

Because Netflix has something no one else has:

A strategy to win.

And that decision reminded me of 3 lessons about why most 7-figure businesses are stuck.

Here’s what YOU need to know…

Warner Bros owns some of the most valuable IP on the planet:

  • The entire DC Universe (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman)

  • Harry Potter franchise

  • HBO’s catalog (Game of Thrones, Succession, The Sopranos)

  • Friends, The Big Bang Theory

  • CNN

  • Decades of film and TV

They could have stayed independent.

They could have sold to Disney (the biggest).

They could have sold to Amazon (the richest).

They could have sold to Apple (the most valuable company on Earth).

But they didn’t.

They chose Netflix.

Why?

Because Warner Bros’ board studied the market and concluded:

“Netflix has the clearest strategy to dominate streaming for the next 20 years.”

Not the most content.

Not the most money.

The clearest path to winning.

And when I read that, I immediately thought about the 7-figure entrepreneurs I coach.

Because most of them were making the same mistake Warner Bros almost made:

They’re competing without a strategy.

LESSON 1: STRATEGY IS HOW YOU WIN (NOT TACTICS)

Sun Tzu wrote The Art of War over 2,000 years ago.

One line has stuck with me:

“Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat.”

Read that again.

The noise before defeat.

That’s what I see when I audit 7-figure entrepreneurs:

They have tactics:

  • Running ads

  • Creating content

  • Hiring salespeople

  • Launching new offers

But they have ZERO strategy.

They’re busy.

They’re executing.

They’re making noise.

But they’re not winning.

And here’s the research to prove it:

According to Harvard Business Review:

  • 67% of well-formulated strategies fail due to poor execution

  • But 90% of businesses fail because they never had a strategy to begin with

Translation:

Most businesses don’t fail because they executed poorly.

They fail because they were executing the wrong plan.

Or no plan at all.

Netflix’s strategy isn’t “own more content.”

It’s:

“Own the ecosystem that makes us the inevitable winner in streaming.”

Warner Bros’ board recognized that.

And they aligned with the winner.

What’s YOUR strategy ?

Not your tactics.

Your S-T-R-A-T-E-G-Y.

How you win.

Where you compete.

What makes you different.

If you can’t answer that in one sentence…

You don’t have a strategy.

You just have tactics.

And tactics without strategy IS the noise before defeat.

LESSON 2: LEADERS CHOOSE WHO HAS THE CLEAREST PATH TO DOMINANCE

Think about Warner Bros’ position.

They had options:

  • Disney (biggest entertainment company)

  • Amazon (richest company, unlimited capital)

  • Apple (most valuable company on Earth)

  • Paramount

  • Netflix (the “streaming company”)

But Warner Bros’ board didn’t just look at size.

They didn’t just look at money.

They looked at who had the clearest strategy to dominate.

And they chose Netflix.

Same thing happens in your market.

Your ideal clients—the ones with money, the ones ready to scale—aren’t choosing based on who has the most followers or the biggest team.

They’re choosing based on who has the clearest path to get them the result they want.

I just did a DEFINE Dominance Dossier™ for one of my executive coaching clients.

(A DEFINE Dominance Dossier™ is the research I do for my clients based on Blue Ocean Strategy that maps your competitive position against the industry and reccomends a clear strategy to DOMINATE)

We discovered he was competing in 3 “convergence zones”—areas where everyone in his industry does the exact same thing.

Same pricing model.

Same service delivery.

Same marketing message.

He was in a commodity game.

No differentiation. No strategic moat. Just grinding and low margins.

After building his DEFINE Dominance Dossier™ we found two gaps no one in his industry was filling.

We eliminated 50% of his service offerings (the stuff that looked good but didn’t move the needle).

We raised his positioning on speed-to-results.

And we created a new value proposition that no competitor could copy.

Result: He’s now positioned to double revenue (and profits) without adding complexity.

That’s what strategy does.

It makes you the obvious choice.

Not the cheapest.

Not the biggest.

The clearest path to winning.

LESSON 3: WITHOUT STRATEGY, YOU’RE JUST BUSY (NOT WINNING)

Most 7-figure entrepreneurs skip strategy because:

  1. They’re stuck in operator mode. You’re so busy executing that you never step back to ask “Is this the right direction?”

  2. They confuse tactics with strategy. Running Facebook ads is a tactic. Your go-to-market strategy determines WHO you’re targeting, HOW you’re positioning, and WHY they should buy from you instead of your competitor.

  3. They don’t know how to build one. Strategy isn’t taught in courses. It’s not a “5-step framework.” It requires research, analysis, and strategic thinking.

And that’s where most entrepreneurs get stuck.

They’re working 50-hour weeks.

They’re posting content daily.

They’re running ads.

They’re launching offers.

But they’re not winning.

Because they don’t have a strategy.

Warner Bros had all the assets.

All the IP.

All the history.

But they recognized:

Without the right strategy, we’re just competing. We’re not winning.

So they aligned with Netflix.

What about you?

Are you just competing?

Or are you winning?

HERE’S THE TRUTH YOU NEED TO HEAR

If you’re reading this and thinking:

“Yeah, I probably don’t have a clear strategy…”

You’re not alone.

I can assure you: You’re making this mistake.

Most 7-figure entrepreneurs are.

And it’s going to cost you in 2026.

Because the entrepreneurs who DO have a strategy?

They’re going to scale past you.

They’re going to win the clients you wanted.

They’re going to dominate the market while you’re still “posting content” and “running ads.”

2026 is coming.

You have two choices:

  1. Enter the year doing more of the same tactics (making noise before defeat)

  2. Enter the year with a strategy (a clear path to $1M/month)

I’m offering you option 2.

But you have to speak to me first.
